Your New Home Warranty

American Wholesale Homes sells products from a number of different manufacturers and each manufacturer has a very specific Limited New Home Warranty document that you will receive with the purchase of your new manufactured or modular home. As a general rule, your home and all appliances are warranted by the manufacturer to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a limited, (usually one year), term.

American Wholesale Homes also offers an Extended Warranty product that is backed by one of the most financially stable insurance companies in the industry, (but it is not an “insurance” product). The Extended Warranty that we sell is a tremendous value and we strongly recommend that all of our customers purchase this added protection. Your Design Consultant can provide you with detailed information on the Extended Warranty products. Please contact us.

Obtaining Service

All new homes will usually require some level of minor service work during your first few months of occupancy. American Wholesale Homes prides itself on providing the highest possible level of service to our customers. We know that happy, satisfied customers are truly the key to a successful business. When you need to obtain service, please follow these steps to insure that your needs are met on a timely and complete basis.
• Write down on a piece of paper the serial number of your home, and the date of purchase. You will find the serial number on the home data plate which is usually under the kitchen sink or on your new home purchase paperwork.
• Prepare a written list of everything that requires service. A written list will insure that none of your service items are left out.
• Complete the American Wholesale Homes Warranty Request form and transfer the serial number and the service items from your written list onto the electronic Warranty Request Form. You can also fax your written list to us at (518) 824-0277. If you fax the list, please provide your name, address and telephone number and make sure that you sign the list.
• Make any small, minor adjustments on your own. Tacking up a piece of loose trim or tightening a screw or nut will correct many problems better and more quickly than ordering warranty service. Remember, all homes require Homeowner Maintenance.
• If you do not hear back from us within 10 days, then call us to insure that your service request was not misdirected. We will see that your service request gets to the proper warranty provider and is performed timely.
